Odemwinge set to attract summer attention

West Bromwich Albion's star striker Peter Odemwinge looks set to attract a lot of attention from other clubs this summer.  The 29 year old who made a £2.5 million move from Lokomotiv Moscow to Albion during the winter transfer window, rose to instant stardom at the Hawthorns, a factor which appears to be well justified given his 15 goals and 7 assists in just 32 Premier League games.

Fellow team mate Paul Scharner believes that keeping hold of Odemwinge this summer needs to be a club priority.  But the Nigerian International has already attracted the attention of several other clubs, with the most interested looking to be Spurs.

Tottenham gaffer Harry Redknapp is believed to have placed Peter Odemwinge at the top of his summer hit list, and it is perhaps not hard to see why.  The 29 year old West Brom striker boasts 15 goals to his name this season (in which he only featured for half of it), compared to Redknapp's current strikers Crouch, Defoe and Pavlyuchenko who only managed 18 between them.  Redknapp may also rekindle his interest in Blackpool star man Charlie Adam, who is also likely to be the target of several top flight clubs now that Blackpool's relegation has been confirmed.

It is not just Premiership clubs that Albion will have to warey of when it comes to Odemwinge this summer.  His incredible success with the West Midlands club since January is likely to have attracted the attention of several clubs around Europe also.
