Hodgson: Survival is the only priority

West Brom may well have come back down to earth with a bump yesterday, after Manchester United's 2-0 victory over the Midlands based club brought there three match winning streak to an end, but the future is certainly still rosey looking at the Hawthorns.

In a rare fortunate position, Albion will enter their last 10 games of the season an impressive 13 points clear of th drop zone, and just four points behind Liverpool who currently sit 7th.  This is certainly new territory for Albion fans, who in search of their third consecutive Premiership season - a record for the club, are more acustomed to relegation threats and scraps at this stage of the season.

However, despite the 13 point gap at the foot of the table, West Brom are still not mathematically safe.  And manager Roy Hodgson has revealed that he will not allow himself to breathe a sig of relief until they are.

Hodgson has set his side the elusive 40 point bench mark, and he insists this has to remain the priority, despite the club being the closest to their first top 10 finish in the top flight in 31 years.
