West Brom have been given the all-clear to make a move for Johnathan Greening. The former Manchester United man found himself on the sidelines for much of last season with injuries. Albion were linked with Greening when he was at Man Utd, but were beaten to his signature by Boro.
Albion have already made inquries for Greening, and it is believed that a fee of around £2million will be acceptable.
Greening expressed his frustration at his lack of chances last season and could be interested in a move to gain regular action.
Greening is one of six Albion targets with Gary Megson admitting he has more money to spend than two years ago.
"This time we can do a little bit more than last time in terms of where we can pitch the wage bill and in bringing players in. " claimed Megson
