Baggies Looking At Posh Defender

Albion, along with other Premiership clubs, are watching young Peterborough United defender Sean St. Ledger The 19 year-old has made 8 first-team appearances for Posh

St. Ledger is being watched by Aston Villa and Albion as well as other Premiership clubs.

Peterborough boss Barry Fry said of St. Ledger: "We have an excellent reputation for developing young players so whenever one appears on our team sheet the top clubs come looking at him.

"And anyone who saw Sean at Doncaster or Wrexham in recent weeks would have been very impressed. They know he will only get better as well.

"These big clubs spend millions on youth set-ups that don't produce too many players so Villa and West Brom mentioned Sean to me at a recent dinner in the Midlands.

"They haven't gone as far as talking money yet, but they will certainly be keeping an eye on Sean's progress."
