Defender Thomas Gaardsoe revealed that he feared he would be one of the players that would be sold in order to cut costs. Last years Player-of-the-year has been kept out of the side by Darren Moore and Darren Purse for the last two games against Southampton and Middlesbrough

On asked whether he thought he would be one of the seven reportedly on the 'Axe List', Gaardsoe said: "I might well be one of these players,"

"A handful of players, including myself, others will be out of contract in the summer. If I don't play I might be one of those released."

It would be disapointing to say the least if Gaardsoe was listed as he has established himself as a fans favourite after some breath-taking performances last season
