Robson Nears Almeyda Deal

Bryan Robson is one step closer to completing his first signing for West Brom. Matias Almeyda, a player Robson has expressed his interest in, has already held talks with Albion and his representatives were at the Hawthorns yesterday to talk personal terms

The Argentinian international midfielder is available on a free transfer after a fall-out from Serie A club Brescia.

Some reports even suggest that Almeyda, 31, has already taken a medical at the Hawthorns and is set to sign when the transfer window re-opens on January 1st.

Other names being linked with a move to the Hawthorns are Boro's Joseph-Desire-Job, Neil Mellor and Juninho.
