Derbyshire make three changes ahead of Essex match

Derbyshire make three changes to their side for the Frizzell County Championship clash with Essex at Derby. Dominic Cork's inclusion in the England squad for the second Test against India sees a return for Graeme Welch.
| Steve Stubbings comes in to bolster the batting line-up in place of slow left-armer Lian Wharton, who managed just two wickets in the victory over Northamptonshire. Luke Sutton is the other new face, replacing Karl Krikken behind the stumps. Essex will be without Aftab Habib and James Foster. Habib dislocated a finger in the clash with Glamorgan two weeks ago, a game which also saw Foster sustain a broken thumb. Andy Flower takes over wicket-keeping duties from Foster and he is named in the 12-man squad alongside Ashley Cowan and Mark Ilott. Cowan has recovered from the knee injury which kept him out of the Glamorgan encounter, while Ilott passed a fitness test on a troublesome hamstring problem. However, Andy Clarke remains on the sidelines with a stress fracture of the foot.
